Making a rosette
Making a rosette is a true labor of love — a totally different kind of woodworking than building a guitar. Miniature, needing to cut wood 0.5 mm or less. And all just for decoration. One great by-product of rosette work is LOTS of colorful shavings.
“Cigar” being cut to generate tiles that will be the center of the rosette. The cigar is a grid of 11×11 with each square 0.5 mm x 0.5 mm.
